I ABSOLUTELY love my Zune~ love the way it looks, how light it is, the amazing sound, menu is easy to use and read. Battery life on my Zune is pretty long. I JUST LOVE IT! Highly recommend it! Great product!

I purchased the 16gb Zune HD after considering price, features, "coolness", etc. It has exceeded my expectations in all categories. As CNET has said this, is simply one of the best music experiences out there. It undoubtedly rivals the ipod Touch and trounces the ipod Nano (which the Zune HD is priced at or below!!). Specifically, the Zune HD has an interface that is extremely intuitive; touch what you want to do and either touch the top of the screen or the home button to go back - that is really 90% of what you need to know. As far as sound quality goes it is excellent. The headphones are very mediocre but an upgrade most of us have made on our own. The more you use the Zune HD the more you realize how much you love your music - it simply makes listening to your music better. It does this by showing you pictures of the artist you are listening to as well as related artists that are linked to the Zune Marketplace; NOTE: this is all done on your terms, meaning it is not jammed down your throat by microsoft. Other features include HD radio, internet, and apps. The HD radio is excellent for me because I live in an area with 15 HD radio stations. It is very clear and is nice to have radio with me at work or outside the house. If the internet experience on the ipod Touch is excellent, then the experience here is very good. It will blow anyone away who has never used an ipod Touch and will satisfy anyone who has. Many websites load in the mobile version, it is just slightly slower than the ipod touch, and the onscreen qwerty keyboard can be either landscape or portrait. As far as apps go just know what to expect. There are about 25 very fun games and useful apps. All are free and accessed via the Zune Marketplace. Several of the games are excellent and they all are very polished and quick (no lag during play). The Facebook app works great and there is also a Twitter app which i have not used yet. I also should note that if the screen on the ipod Touch is very good, then the screen on the Zune HD is excellent. It is an OLED screen and everything looks perfect on it. My wife and I were both playing games last night, her on her 3G iPhone and me on my Zune HD, and she kept on saying how good the screen on the Zune HD was. Overall, the only feature i wish the Zune HD had (call this a con if you will) is the lack of an internal speaker. It is fun to watch each other play games on this and it would be nice if you didn't have to share headphones to enjoy it together (especially on AudioSurfTilt - which is one of the excellent games). Other than that minor complaint, more apps would always be nice...youtube, pandora, mapquest, etc, but by no means are they a deal breaker. As far as a bonus feature goes, it would be nice on future generations if there was an HDMI port on the player itself that did not require a special dock in order to take advantage of the HD content (though in reality i have not one time thought to myself "man i wish i could hook this to my TV and watch the HD content on it" so take this with a grain of salt). This player would be tough to beat in any side by side comparison with ANY other music player on the market. If nothing else, the Zune HD 16gb should obliterate the ipod Nano and give the ipod Touch a legitimate run for its' money.

The ZuneHD is a great device. The battery life is very good and the oled screen is nice. I recommend this to anyone. The only problem is that there are only a few apps available. Other than that, the ZuneHD is awesome.

The Zune hardware itself is fine; the software is a disaster. My son and I tried for over 5 hours to get it to do what we hoped it would do. Total frustration. He builds computers and I've been working with computer software for 25 years. Why Microsoft allows this software to be so user unfriendly is beyond me (I've use MS operating sytems since DOS, so I'm not an Apple MS hater).
If you buy it, be patient, or, as I did, send it back. It was the best $5 postage I ever spent. What a relief.

Love my new Zune HD and all the wonderful things it can do. There are many great MP-3 players on the market other than Apple, this is one in my opinion. I have always hated drinking the "Apple Kool-Aid"...no more.
I prefer downloading from The Marketplace with unlimited music of my choice. The monthly fee is very little to pay and you get 10 free songs a month to keep or burn to a CD if you wish. It's not mandatory to use Marketplace, down load from any source you please.
Sold my iPod's and no going back!
